Disclaimers

1) Informational and educational use only

State that your site, emails, videos, courses, templates, and coaching content are for general information and education, not tailored advice.

2) No professional advice (legal, tax, financial, HR, medical)

Make it explicit that you are not providing legal, tax, accounting, investment, insurance, HR, medical, or mental-health advice, and users should consult qualified professionals for those topics.

3) No client relationship unless there’s a signed agreement

Clarify that consuming content or contacting you does not create a consulting, advisory, attorney-client, or fiduciary relationship. A relationship exists only when you and the client sign a written agreement (and typically pay for services).

4) No guarantees or warranties

State you do not guarantee results, outcomes, income, promotions, certifications, or business performance. Tools and frameworks can help, but results vary by person and circumstances.

5) Results vary and depend on the user

Add a short “results may vary” section that points to factors you don’t control: team capability, leadership support, market conditions, budgets, timing, effort, and execution quality.

6) Earnings / business performance disclaimer

If you talk about profit recovery, cost savings, revenue growth, or “predictable profits,” include a clear earnings disclaimer:

no promise of specific financial results

any numbers shown are examples, not typical results

users are responsible for decisions and implementation

7) Testimonials and examples disclaimer

If you publish testimonials, case studies, “before/after,” or success stories:

they reflect individual experiences

they’re not a promise of typical results

you may have edited for clarity (without changing meaning)

8) Third-party links and resources

Disclose that you may link to third-party sites and tools, you don’t control them, and you’re not responsible for their content, availability, or policies.

9) Affiliate and sponsored content disclosure (FTC)

If you use affiliate links (even occasionally), include:

you may earn a commission at no extra cost

you only recommend what you believe is useful

sponsored content will be disclosed

10) Accuracy, errors, and omissions

State you strive for accuracy but content may contain errors or become outdated; you can update content at any time.

11) Use at your own risk and limitation of liability

Plainly say users assume responsibility for how they apply the information, and you’re not liable for losses or damages to the extent allowed by law.

12) Jurisdiction and local law

Note that laws vary by location and users are responsible for compliance with their local rules, especially for business, employment, and financial decisions.

13) Contact and updates

Provide a short line that the disclaimer may be updated, and include a “last updated” date plus a contact method.
